Daniel Sarango

Daniel is a founder of Le Bonheur. He started riding at the tender age of four years old. Daniel graduated as part of the Remount Unit for the National Police of Ecuador in 2004, where he started competing professionally in show jumping and dressage. Daniel represented the National Police of Ecuador's Equestrian Team at the national and international levels.

Daniel started eventing in 2010, competing his own horse as well as various horses owned by the police force and private owners. In 2011 he was selected to represent Ecuador in the Pan American Games with his own horse Don King.

Daniel moved to the United States in 2012, joining the Pollard Eventing Team. In 2015 he was again selected to represent Ecuador in the Pan American Games with Morgan Shaw's horse Carmac. He has  competed in eventing up to the 3* international level, as well as competing in Grand Prix show jumping.

In addition to competitive riding, Daniel has experience with breeding horses, raising, breaking and training young horses, working with horses with behavior or training problems, and coaching riders of all levels. Daniel produces his own horses from collection to top level competitors.

Dr. Anna Bosworth

Dr. Bosworth is a founder of Le Bonheur and a veterinarian. She is a graduate of Boston University and University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She is currently a general practitioner, licensed in Georgia and Alabama. Her interests include small animal surgery, preventive care, and equine dentistry and reproduction.

Dr. Bosworth competes in eventing with her Hanoverian gelding, Galapagos. In their first season of eventing in 2019, Dr. Bosworth and Galapagos were the Champions of the Beginner Novice Rider division at the Area III Championships. In 2020, they were again Champions at the Area III Championship, this time in the Novice Rider Division. In 2021, Galapagos and Dr. Bosworth competed in the Training Rider division at the Area III Championships, coming in 3rd place. Their plan is to compete at the international level in 2022.

Dr. Bosworth provides the routine veterinary services for all horses at Le Bonheur, and works with all members of the team to provide you a customized plan that best suits the needs of you and your horse. Dr. Bosworth also provides the follow up care and treatment plans as prescribed by Dr. Chris Newton.

Dr. Chris Newton

Dr. Chris Newton is a graduate of University of Kentucky and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Newton is a general practitioner at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. His primary interests are equine sports medicine, physical therapy, alternative medicine and reproduction.

As a sport horse practitioner, Dr. Newton has served as the team veterinarian for the North American Junior Young Rider Championship, the treating veterinarian for the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, and as Rood and Riddle's veterinary coordinator during the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. He is also regularly competes in eventing.

Dr. Newton travels from Lexington on a regular basis to provide expert equine veterinary care for Le Bonheur. He will assess your horse and provide diagnostics and treatment as needed. If follow up care is required, he will work with the Le Bonheur team to create a treatment plan.
